THE SYSTEM IN PRACTICE

How it fits
your work.

The electronics collect vehicle sensor data, manage commands and connect the surface station to peripherals. The reference configuration uses Navigator, Raspberry Pi 4 and BlueOS.

Earlier Pixhawk and Companion systems require individual assessment before upgrading. Wiring, power, firmware and sensor interfaces must remain compatible as the vehicle evolves.

01

Vehicle control

Interfaces for sensors, motor controllers and servos.

02

Onboard computer

An environment for communications and integrated services.

03

Surface station

Piloting and telemetry through the configured software.

CONFIGURATIONS, EQUIPMENT AND DATA

A closer look.

From Companion to Navigator

The open BlueROV project has evolved its electronics over time. The configuration used until 2022 combined Pixhawk, Raspberry Pi 3 running Companion, and a surface computer interface using QGroundControl.

In the configuration introduced from 2023, the tray includes Raspberry Pi 4 and the Navigator Flight Controller. Navigator replaces Pixhawk in this setup and runs with BlueOS, with potential use in other robotics applications.

Expanding the platform

Inputs and outputs connect sensors, servos, speed controllers and external instruments. Tray design must coordinate power, control, interfaces and accessibility. The internal Configuration guide replaces the former, unavailable quotation link.
