THE SYSTEM IN PRACTICE
Underwater work takes time: reaching the working area, finding your bearings, observing and collecting data. Long Power-Range ROV is designed to reduce interruptions for battery replacement.
The system uses carbon-fibre modules and a self-buoyant battery pack that slides onto a dedicated rail. Power remains onboard the vehicle, as an alternative to transmitting it from the surface.

Rail-mounted battery pack to simplify turnaround between operations.
Power, buoyancy, lighting and instruments are assessed as one system.
CONFIGURATIONS, EQUIPMENT AND DATA
Carbon-fibre PODs are our solution for reducing battery-change interruptions and providing an alternative to surface power while retaining mini-ROV dimensions and handling.
Indicative endurance for this configuration is at least 8 continuous hours. The self-buoyant battery pack can be replaced on its rail with a second unit, giving almost 20 hours in total with the replacement pack. This depends on operating conditions and does not mean 20 hours on one battery.
Available energy, load, currents, lighting and instruments affect working time. These figures remain separate from those for Advanced I, Advanced II and the ten-thruster ROV.
