SONAR / CIRCULAR SCANNING
Explore the environment around the vehicle.
Mechanically scanning sonar for observing structures and obstacles even when optical visibility is limited.
Request informationTHE SYSTEM IN PRACTICE
Ping360 mechanically steers its beam to build a scan of the surroundings. Acoustic images complement video during inspections and searches for reference features.
The scan develops over time: vehicle movement and the chosen sector affect interpretation. Mounting, settings and ROV stability must therefore be considered together.
Circular observation or a selected sector.
Acoustic references to complement the camera.
Interfaces selected for onboard integration.
CONFIGURATIONS, EQUIPMENT AND DATA
Ping360 rotates the acoustic beam to build a view around the vehicle. It can support navigation, inspection, obstacle detection, target location and tracking, and autonomous system development. It is not the single-beam Ping echo sounder.
