THE SYSTEM IN PRACTICE
Polyedrica is designed to integrate with or complement the ROV’s existing imaging. It includes a 4K camera with remotely controlled optical zoom and focus, on a carbon-fibre structure with aluminium mounts. The camera has a built-in microphone and internal storage on a removable microSD card.
Available configurations include manual orientation, vertical tilt and combined tilt and pan. Versions are also available with lights moving with the camera and optional laser scalers.
Remote framing and focus control.
Manual, tilt, or tilt-and-pan configurations.
Optional lights that follow the camera’s orientation.
CONFIGURATIONS, EQUIPMENT AND DATA
Polyedrica 4K is an ultra-compact carbon-fibre camera with aluminium mounts. Its 5× optical zoom, digital zoom and focus are remotely controlled in real time. It can replace or complement the ROV camera and can also be used by a diver, on a surface vessel or in a periscope installation.
Dedicated software accompanies the system; the separate Polyedrica Camera Deck page describes the console, recording and archive. Mounting is defined according to the platform and task.
Manual mechanical adjustment with optical zoom. Before the mission, the operator sets the camera angle and distance from the mounting structure.
One underwater servo moves the camera vertically during the mission, alongside optical zoom control. Servo operating depth: 300 m.
Two underwater servos provide vertical and horizontal orientation: up/down and left/right, with optical zoom. Servo operating depth: 300 m.
Remote vertical movement with one servo and optical zoom. Two 2,000-lumen lights follow the camera tilt and illuminate the scene in the viewing direction. Servo operating depth: 300 m.
Configuration with two servos, tilt and pan, optical zoom and two lights aligned with the field of view. Designed for documentary work, environmental and scientific monitoring, and filming sporting activities.

Letters A–E identify the five mechanical configurations described above; use on an ROV or by a diver is selected separately. Servo depth ratings do not automatically apply to the complete configuration.
The system requires no dedicated routine maintenance. Correct use and the enclosure, connection and mounting checks specified for the supplied configuration remain necessary.
