How it fits
your work.
S500 measures along a narrow beam and can read distance to the seabed or a target. On a surface vehicle, measurements associated with position support a survey along the route.
It does not acquire the cross-track swath of a multibeam. The submerged transducer and separate electronics require a coordinated installation: the board must be protected in a suitable enclosure.

Mounting orientation and geometry depend on the application.
Survey and recording
SonarView displays the signal; position requires a dedicated source.
